When you need to exceed the limits of ordinary photography to see the facets of very tiny objects and materials, look to Rat Race Studios Micro Photography. We offer precision microscope and macroscope photography performed in a laboratory. Our high-resolution digital cameras are paired with the latest lab equipment to create powerful images that show detail unavailable to the naked eye.
Microscope photography relies on minimal depth of field. Very little in an image is in focus. to combat the effects of this, we've developed a series of techniques to better show tiny 3-D objects in a more realistic way. In fact, the post-production is often more extensive than the photography, the opposite of most commercial projects.
Among the items we've been asked to photograph: hair, miniature circuitry, industrial abrasives, skin, medical devices, blades, military equipment parts, plant materials, and fibers. What do you need to see up close?
